We live in a world where people want to be constantly entertained. It is as if half the population would lose their minds if they were forced to simply sit alone with their thoughts. People are constantly on their computers, listening to music on their mp3 players and iPods, talking and texting their friends and family on their cell phones, playing video games on their X-Box's and Play-station and on portable devices, or they are simply watching TV but whatever the entertainment purpose is they are constantly craving some form of stimulation.

In fact, this is all part of our huge commercial and materialistic society we live in. People are blasted with millions and millions of advertisements in their lifetime. With all of these advertisements making people think that a certain product or service will make their lives better, easier, or cooler. With a constant barrage of information it is often hard for company's to make a real mark with the masses and this is what they shoot to do, whether it is simply getting a subconscious message to potential customers; with some company's even burning their branding images into children's minds in the hopes that this will stay with them for their whole lives.

When it comes to the tradeshow world there is also a lot of competition in regards to keeping people's attention (potential exhibit visitors and customers) and companies vie to make sure that your company stands out in people's minds.

There are a number of elements that can be used to attract people's attention so they come to your booth. And in this age of the need to be constantly entertained it is important that exhibitors step back and think outside of the box once in a while to keep things different and fresh and to prevent visitors from seeing the same cookie cutter displays and information all of the time.

Here are a couple of ideas that will help to transform your exhibit into a real tradeshow attendee magnet, drawing them in just like moths to flame.

Well for starters the key is to remember that we are all kids at heart and we all like something different and intriguing to use. Keeping that in mind there are a couple of ploys that can be used to really make your display rock causing the fans to roll in. The last thing you want is to be just another cookie-cutter interpretation of your competition. You need a real edge that creates excitement and plays off of that little kid in everyone.

Some great ways to mesmerize the future fans are:

1. Use performers.
With the thought in mind that everyone out there wants to be entertained, what better way than to do so than to provide some live entertainers at your booth or somewhere else on the tradeshow grounds who can direct people to your booth. With some live music, a little bit of theatre, a magician, a mime, male or female models, or another form of entertainer you will definitely add a spectacle element to your booth that will draw in a crowd and keep them there. It will also get people talking about the entertainers and about your company itself.

2. Trend Setting Booth Design.
By combining imagination and tradeshow technology pretty much any design is possible nowadays. So when it comes to your exhibit design don't be afraid to step outside the box in regards to your display. Trying something new might be the ticket to getting attendees to visit your booth's show. Remember when it comes down to it, it is a show and you want your show to be the best. We all know there are those traditional designs which have worked for years but don't be afraid to try something. If you think it looks unique and different than chances are most people will too. So the first thing you should do is come up with a great exhibit design that is functional and creative and that gets a great message across in regards to your company's products/services.

3. Cash Cubes.
Nothing gets people as excited as money does, well except for maybe sex. But you don't want to go there at the tradeshow, unless it is a tradeshow for that. Well, anyways back to the whole idea of cash. What a better way to attract visitors and attention than to use money. A cash cube money machine is the way to do it. This is a device that looks like a phone booth and that has air pumped into it along with having money present. The money gets blown around the cub creating a real visual spectacle. What you can do with it is give people a chance to enter into the cube and grab as much money as they can in a limited time frame such as 30 seconds. By filling the cube with small bills you might even save on your normal promotional budget. Plus this would create some serious buzz at the tradeshow event. Also what visitor is not going to want a chance to get some free cash? This will have people lined up and talking about your company guaranteed.
